MountainSmith
makes tough hiking packs and backpacks designed to tag along with their
owner via a patented lumbar waist belt or, in some cases, slung over a
shoulder.
The 35-year-old Colorado company’s extensive collection includes
several packs made from recycled PET plastic or renewable hemp fabric,
which grows quickly and uses less water than cotton.
