The Hemp Industry Development Act would
allow the cultivation of low-THC hemp “to promote economic development
and job growth.” Growers would be required to register with the state
and submit a statement that the seeds contain low levels of THC.
The grower would also be required to provide the location and acreage
of hemp crops and allow crops to be inspected and tested during
“growing season, harvest, storage, processing, manufacturing and
distribution.”
